UConn STEAM Tree is an initiative of a multidisciplinary team of students and professors from Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) to build a nature-inspired, artistically designed clean energy system.
Who We Are
The STEAM Tree is a UConn-based initiative developed by a multidisciplinary team of both students and professors who hold a broad range of interesting skills and interests. We’ve applied Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) to create an artistically-designed clean energy system that is nature-inspired, functional, and enjoyable.
More importantly, the STEAM Tree functions as an innovative research tool that will work symbiotically with the University of Connecticut and the greater Connecticut community to improve quality of life and continue teaching people about innovative sustainable systems for generations to come.
The STEAM Tree reflects the University of Connecticut’s commitment to innovation through research collaboration and sensitive design. By putting diversity of thought, being and expression at the forefront of our Tree, we hope to normalize open-engagement within sustainable technology and community development. Additionally, we remain confident that this initiative remains a continued contribution to local, national and global wellbeing.
